Chaudfontaine is a lush green area in the quiet of a bend in the Vesdre river. A place Victor Hugo once called "the violet of spas” is located just 8 kilometres from Liège and offers a wide range of seminar or post-meeting activities: a "seven wonders” journey, hot springs, a casino, a 4-star hotel, an open-roof thermal pool, the famous Chèvremont Basilica and Source O Rama, a real educational and fun aquascope, without forgetting the culinary delights on offer.
Chaudfontaine today represents a thermal Renaissance more than anything. The Chaudfontaine spa is the only in Belgium that has natural hot springs: after a long journey of more than 60 years, the water gushes forth full of essential elements at a constant temperature of 36.6°C. Since 2003, Chaudfontaine has again become a place of luxury, remaining loyal to its past (the first baths were offered in 1676 by Simon Sauveur): the “Château des Thermes” spa centre provides rest, relaxation and pleasure among the healing waters by offering different health and well-being options.
